This is the web site of the European research project ULEV-TAP 2 which started in November 2002 and lasted until October 2005.

The project developped the technological components for a hybrid light rail vehicle that then could run independently from any external power supply.

The previous ULEV-TAP project already proved the technology when it demonstrated a running hybrid tram in September 2001.
